The exhibition itinerary begins with an <strong>interactive tour that traces the history of the Institute and shows the machinery and tools used by students over the decades<\/strong>: the school was in fact born with the aim of preparing students for the practice of industry and the &#8220;know-how do&#8221;.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1635278144121{padding-top: 15px !important;}&#8221; el_class=&#8221;testo&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>The project of MITI museum<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1635279972776{padding-top: 15px !important;}&#8221; el_class=&#8221;testo&#8221;]<strong>The MITI Museum is located in the Historical Laboratories of the Industrial School \u201cMontani\u201d in Fermo,<\/strong> a national excellence recalling the history of technological and industrial development of Italy during the XX century and the history of generations of world-renowned entrepreneurs and professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The idea behind the museum is <strong>to connect the school and the museum to the concepts of scientific evolution and innovation<\/strong>; from research and ideas something new can be created to improve work\u2019s quality and simplify human actions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Museum\u2019s purpose<\/strong> <strong>is to tell the story of Montani industrial school from the XIX century to these days<\/strong>, enhancing the strong bond between the school (knowledge) and the factory (know-how) that has always characterised its educational path.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It is an \u201cinteractive\u201d museum<\/strong>, whose <strong>aim is to enhance understanding of how innovation is created<\/strong> by the combination of four main elements: <strong>how to create using hands, how to create using brain, knowledge and experience<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;50px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1635278189392{padding-top: 15px !important;}&#8221; el_class=&#8221;testo&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>The exhibition itinerary of MITI Museum in Fermo<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1635278771008{padding-top: 15px !important;}&#8221; el_class=&#8221;testo&#8221;]The exhibition itinerary consists of six rooms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Room 1. Innovation<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Hands<\/li>\n<li>Brain<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Room 2. The Factory<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Room 3. The Story of Montani School<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Room 4. The scientific laboratory<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Room 5. New technologies<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Room 6. The Future<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The exhibition itinerary is thought to enhance the school\u2019s historical machineries and the transmission of a many-centuried technical knowledge<\/strong> involving the visitor in a journey of discovery through interactive devices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the first room<\/strong>, dedicated to Girolamo and Margherita Montani, founders of the school, visitors can understand the <strong>necessary interaction between hands and brain<\/strong> to produce technological innovations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The central space<\/strong>, heart of the museum, was the old foundry\u2019s seat: next to the furnaces are located the <strong>historical machineries<\/strong> (power hammer, calender, press, punching machine, milling machine, lathe and gear shaper) employed by the students in the laboratories to learn the \u201cknow-how\u201d. The room is completed by <strong>six interactive emplacements<\/strong> to allow the visitor to understand the <strong>use of the machineries and their evolution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The historical hallway<\/strong> travels with old documents through the <strong>story of Montani<\/strong> and of the characters who gave birth to the School right after the unification of Italy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The last room is the didactic instruments\u2019 room from different ages and fields<\/strong> (mechanics, physics, chemistry, electrotechnics, electronics, radio engineering and IT) used in the school to teach the scientific knowledge<\/p>\n<p>The museum includes spaces for temporary exhibitions and it is a privileged place to support innovations.[\/vc_column_text]<\/div><div class=\"mkdf-tab-container\" id=\"tab-map-547\"><div class=\"map-poi\" id=\"map-poi-14790\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;
